The national standard revision seminar was held in Beijing recently

To further improve the motor andMotorSystem energy efficiency, promote the technological progress and industry development of electric motors, and give play to the huge potential of energy conservation and emission reduction in the electric motor industry. On May 17, 2019, the National Technical Committee for Energy Basics and Management Standardization organized a seminar in Beijing to revise the national standard "Energy Efficiency Limit Values ​​and Energy Efficiency Grades for Electric Motors" and the national standard formulation seminar "Energy Efficiency Evaluation Procedures for Electric Motor Systems", and discussed the main technical content and indicators of the standards. More than 30 leaders and experts from the China National Institute of Standardization, China National Institute of Metrology, International Copper Association, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, China Electric Equipment Research Institute and other units, as well as representatives from the National Explosion-proof Product Quality Inspection Center, Shandong Provincial Quality Inspection Institute, Fujian Provincial Quality Inspection Institute and other enterprises attended the meeting.

At the meeting, experts and enterprise representatives fully affirmed the significance of the revision and formulation of the two standards. On the basis of linking with IEC, they conducted in-depth discussions on the scope of application of motor energy efficiency standards, energy efficiency standard framework, technical requirements parameters and corresponding indicators, as well as the objectives of motor system standard formulation, scope of application of standards, definition of motor system boundaries, test methods and evaluation levels in technical requirements and other related clauses, and put forward suggestions and recommendations for improvement.

The successful convening of the two standard seminars is an important link in connecting and improving standard technical indicators and closely integrating with market promotion. It will effectively promote the evaluation of energy efficiency and energy-saving transformation and upgrading during the operation of motor systems, and will provide strong support for expanding the international market, implementing energy conservation and emission reduction in the motor industry, and realizing industrial power and green development.
